zip compression RMISocketFactory

I think I'm asking the right question. I have a swing based app with some clients on modem connections, so what to conserve bandwidth as much as possible. Is there an existing socket factory (this is what I want isn't it?) that will compress the data sent over the network?

There is an example in the testsuite using GZIP

Sorry - thanks for not abusing me... should have checked further down in the history. I had expected that something like that would be part of the main dist, but if thats the way it is, I'm happy to copy that code to get set up.
