Unable to deploy my web application

hi,
i have copied the directory structure that we used to have(and run) in tomcat servlet engine to JBOSS_ROOT/server/default/deploy directory of the JBOSS server.

when i started the server it said
Deploying JBOSS_ROOT/server/default/deploy/myapp but could not find appropriate deployer.

please suggest how to solve the problem.
