Running JBoss 2.4/Tomcat 3 with IIS

I've successfully set up IIS to run with JBoss/Tomcat, with the exception of accessing the images directory in my web app.
What I mean, is that if I open "http://localhost:8080/webapp..." images are displayed correctly. If I open "http://localhost" (the default web site index.html points to my web app Tea templates), the pages load, links to webapp pages (templates/servlets etc) all function, but IIS can't see the images directory. I can overcome this by setting up a virtual directory which points to the webapp's images directory, but then subdirectories also can't be seen (ie images don't show up on pages).

      Any suggestions?
