    jmx-console question

    Hisham Ismail Newbie

I have installed the standard JBoss 3.0.6 with built-in webserver. With this, I can access the jmx-console.

However, when I switched to JBoss with embedded Tomcat4.1.18, I got some error messages during startup. After placing the appropriate jar files in the server/default/lib, I managed to make the tomcat started.

However, the jmx-console gives these on embedded tomcat:

      type Status report
      message /jmx-console/
description The requested resource (/jmx-console/) is not available.

From JBoss log, everything looks ok though.

16:14:26,112 INFO [Engine] WebappLoader[/jmx-console]: Deploying class repositories to work directory /usr/tomcat-4.1.x/work/MainEngine/localhost/jmx-console
16:14:26,117 INFO [Engine] WebappLoader[/jmx-console]: Deploy class files /WEB-INF/classes to /usr/local/jboss-3.0.6_tomcat-4.1.18/server/default/deploy/jmx-console.war/WEB-INF/classes
16:14:26,121 INFO [Engine] ContextConfig[/jmx-console]: Missing default web.xml, using application web.xml only
16:14:26,641 INFO [Engine] ContextConfig[/jmx-console]: Added certificates -> request attribute Valve
16:14:26,978 INFO [EmbeddedCatalinaService41] Using Java2 parent classloader delegation: true
16:14:26,980 INFO [Engine] StandardManager[/jmx-console]: Seeding random number generator class java.security.SecureRandom
16:14:26,982 INFO [Engine] StandardManager[/jmx-console]: Seeding of random number generator has been completed

Can anybody explains how to fix this.

      Thanks a lot.
