Which browser are you using? Have you installed Java plug-in from Sun? What version of it (JVM version)?
i use IE6.0 , but i can use weblogic console without any problems. But with jboss applet cannot be loaded. it's very strange , Is there any diff between applet of weblogic and jboss??? And i didn't install plugin , any difference??
i use win2000server. jvm is v1.3.
After install jre1.4 , this problem has been solved. but i wonder why??? thanks anyway!
applets don't tend to work very well without the Java plugin, IE certainly doesnt come with a working JVM by default
...and weblogic console is in no way related to JBoss console.
But doesn't weblogic use applet as a console??? or a different applet frome jboss's ??
it's a different applet
i've seen a similar error before when the the java\bin directory wasn't on the path. JBoss would start fine, but as soon as you attempted to hit the jmx-console you'd receive and error in the browser and JBoss would throw a similar exception.
upgrading to jvm1.4 possibly added the j2sdk1.4.1_01\bin to your path... however saying that it generally doesn't do it by default.
