jboss-3.2.3 ports - consumption & configuration

Hi,

I found that jboss-3.2.3 uses 7 ports in its default deployment:
8083, 1099, 1098, 4444, 4445, 8080, 8009

This is an increase of 3 from jboss-3.2.1 to 3.2.3. Maybe it would be better to have a central configuration point for ports. IMHO this may increase the general managebility of jboss quite a bit.

AFAIK, Other j2ee servers like WLS do multiplexing over a single port. maybe this could be a more sophisticated solution?
Anyone has though about this option?

Have you had a look at the binding service? This may be what you are looking for.
