I've seen that the defaut maximum size for the pool is 100. I would like to be sure I understand this properly.
What if I have a transaction (a call to a session bean for instance) that loads (findByXXX) 5000 instances of the same entity bean (to update one of the field for instance).
Should I put the pool to 5000? Is there a limitation to this value?
Are the 5000 beans going into the cache? If so it would make no difference.
If they aren't going into cache you would save 5000 constructor calls at the
expense of giving the garbage collector more work to do.
