    Datasource Problem

    Olin Mears Newbie

      Hi there,

      i've just moved up to jboss-4.0.0 from jboss-3.0.4, and i'm attempting to create a DB2 datasource for Jboss, I seem to hit a stone wall which is causing all sorts of frustration! :)

      This is what i've done so far;

      Created the \server\default\deploy\db2-ds.xml from the examples.
      Placed my WAR file in the default deploy directory.
      Placed the db2 driver in the \server\default\deploy\libs directory.

      What I find when I start Jboss and try and access my application is this:

      - Looking up default database url...
      11:46:41,730 INFO [STDOUT] [D ]
      - Establishing connection to: java:comp/env/DefaultDS
      11:46:41,740 INFO [STDOUT]
      me(String contentId) com.hotmaths.easydb.DBException: Unable to find
      'java:comp/env/DefaultDS' using JNDI

      What I've done to try and get around this:

      I've tried to rename my own data source DefaultDS along with changing the type mapping in standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml and standardjaws.xml. This dosen't seem to help. I've tried to remove the defaultDS completely without much sucess.
      I've also made sure that my datasource is different from the DefaultDS with another name which dosen't seem to help as well.
      If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great! I'm really stumped. If you want to see any of my xml or conf files please let me know!
