AJP port limitation?

Is anyone aware of any limitations of AJP port listening on Well Known ports?, Ports Numbers < 1024.

I was able to get Apache to forward requests to JBoss only when i had AJP13 port listening on Ports > 1024

Are you running the process as root?

Yes, Apache starts during system boot, so it is root. JBoss is running as root.
