2. Re: performance problem with JBoss running as Windows Servic
gilbert.nicolet Oct 11, 2005 6:38 AM (in response to sojka)I experience the same.
On our own Windows Server 2003 : same performances on a simple DOS "startJBoss" and on service under JavaService.exe
On the Windows Server 2003 of one of our client : Javaservice gives performances 3 times slower than DOS simple run (on the same computer).
I checked with JVMI instead of javaService. The performance is the same as DOS command. It seems Javaservice has a problem.
I use last version of JavaService. -

Rgards,
Umesh
This is the answer, but you must add the -Xmx when you initially install the JavaService, it adds additional JVM options which you can view and/or change in windows registry.
My Application went from dog slow back to normal speed after adding the parameter. -

Does the solution provided worked for you ?
I face the same problem Jboss 3.2.3, Last version of javaservice.exe, Windows XP, Windows 2003...
JBOSS twice slower than started manually in a DOS concsole.

No more performance issue ... :-)
