jjvangils Jul 19, 2006 10:16 AM (in response to vfont)I got exactly the same problem when moving from 4.0.2 to 4.0.4. Did anybody get it to work using the link provided by Scott? It seems the issue is not really related to the contents of the log4j.xml or log4j.properties, but rather to a failure to reach the contents of the file(s) when your application is deployed. It seems that part of the deployed application is appenderless. I'm deploying separate JAR and WAR files.

csolson Sep 27, 2006 8:23 PM (in response to vfont)If you copy log4j.xml from the jboss server/default/conf directory to a place that is in your classpath you will not get the messages anymore (jboss 4.0.3).
Do not make the jboss server/default/conf directory part of your classpath, this seems to break things.
