JBoss 3.2.x seems to be missing Tomcat files

Hello,

I have download several of the 3.2 version (3.2.3, 3.2.5, 3.2.8 SP1) and they all seem to have the same problem. Tomcat files are missing, specifically javax.servlet.jar.

When I try to add Tomcat 3.2.8 SP1 for example as a server to Eclipse 3.2.2 as a Server Runtime it gives me an error that it cannot find the javax.servlet.jar.

I checked all 3 versions of the 3.2.x versions list above and they are all missing this file. Version 4.x seems to have this file and many others.

However I need to use a version of 3.2 for a project.

Can someone tell me why this file any possible others are missing, and how can I get them installed for a 3.2.x environment?

See jboss-3.2.8.SP1\server\default\deploy\jbossweb-tomcat50.sar\servlet-api.jar

That is great, why would they make a major change betwen 3.2.3 and 3.2.8?

3.2.3 has javax.servlet.jar in two locations and then 3.2.8 got rid of them, and has a different jar now? This seems like a major change to add to a patch version.

You must have been "new" with JBoss :) Point releases have always introduces new features and some incompatible changes.

Version 4.2.x hopes to changes this.
