Is it possible to have a websphere like profile and have two servers share that settings?
From what i remember, WebSphere profiles are independent. Aren't they? What exactly are you trying to share between the two JBoss server configurations (profiles)? And which version of JBoss do you use? -

The common libraries for each of the server configurations/profiles can be placed in %JBOSS_HOME%/common/lib folder. Not exactly sure how to "share" the connection factories. -

One possible way to do this would be to have a common deploy folder (external to JBoss server) where you can place the deployables. You can then add this custom external deploy folder in the JBoss server configuration/profile as mentioned here http://www.jboss.org/community/docs/DOC-13241. Note that this would not exactly be "sharing". This setup would deploy the datasource/applications twice - once for the profile1 and once for profile2. -

dimitris Mar 13, 2009 5:06 AM (in response to mkprabhu_2009)You could created a common/deploy directory and enhance the server(s) directory scanners to look into that directory, as well. Just an idea.
