localhost:8080 From the world

Hey All,

I am running a jboss 5 server on unix system.

I will like to know how I can stop from shown the jboss main page(Menu): http://llocalhost:8080.

Can i make him be accessible only for me (one user) or even from specified IP ?

To completely remove it, remove the server/xxx/deploy/ROOT.war directory.

To secure it, add security settings to the ROOT.ware/WEB-INF/web.xml file.

I did step 4: Securing Root Application

What i don't understand is, now how I connecting to that page ?
Actual i didn't understand what I did in that step, I just know its work.

If you followed those instructions exactly, you should be able to log in with username 'admin_user' and password 'admin_password'. The username and password come from what you placed into the users.properties file in step 4.

But now i have nothing showing on the screen and he is asking for nothing.

The link is change or maybe encoding problem ?

Then you did something wrong. Try this - remove the security info from web.xml and try again. Do you see the page? If so, then place the security info back into web.xml and try again. If still the page is not shown, post the wbe.xml here.
