I'm in a situation where I will need to have a couple of minimal JBoss's running on different machines. I would like to have them participating in a farming concept but i don't need any other cluster functionality like failover and loadbalancing.
I guess this is possible, but just wanted to have it verified by expertise before hacking!?
The JBoss want be running much more then mbeans and jms.
yes, that's possible and very easy: simply deploy the clustering and farming services (by default in recent "all" configurations) and that's all: do *not* activate clustering for your EJB or HTTP Sessions (which is the default anyway) and you are done.
