We have a complicated web application that we have clustered across multiple servers. Installing and configuring each is becoming a pain.

Is it possible to use the JBoss farming as a way to replicate web applications over multiple JBoss/Tomcat servers? I'm sure the answer to this is yes.

But can you replicate directories or does it have to be war/ear files?

If you can replicate directories, would you be able to change a property file for example and have it change throughout the farm?
