I reviewed the clustering docs, Wiki and forum, but did not find an answer spelled out like I would like to see it.

What downtime is incurred when deploying an application to a high availability cluster? Would a user coming into the application find himself/herself with a 50-50 chance of hitting the old application vs. the newly deployed application if they came in during the deployment process?

Is there at anytime a lock-out of users during the deployment? Do you have to shutdown nodes in the cluster?

I have had previous WebLogic experience around this subject...and one has to jump through hoops to deploy without affecting the users.
