1. Re: Sourceforge and this site.
jwkaltz Feb 14, 2003 3:26 AM (in response to fboss)This is a good question, my impression is that the jboss.org download page is not always updated when there are new releases on sourceforge. So I always check on sourceforge when I'm looking for new releases. I think the 3.0.6 is the one to go for.
(note that the download page on this site is just links to sourceforge) -

juhalindfors Feb 14, 2003 1:06 PM (in response to fboss)RC means release candidate -- it is not stable yet. 3.0.x is the stable branch

3. Re: Sourceforge and this site.
fboss Feb 17, 2003 2:28 PM (in response to fboss)It just makes me wonder because I have never seen a Jboss 3.0.x RC release. To me, it seems like 3.0.x is dev build (since we have a new 3.0.x release every month or so), and 3.2.x is more of a production, formal release.
A question of this sort sounds pretty fundamental. Why isn't this covered in JBoss FAQ or mentioned anywhere either on this site or sourceforge? -

juhalindfors Feb 18, 2003 8:24 AM (in response to fboss)There were at least three RC releases for 3.0 (http://freshmeat.net/branches/29819/)
