Knowledge losses

Has anyone noticed but the forums are dropping postings rapidly. There are quite a few threads I've answered in the past, and when I go to refer someone to a past thread or answer, I find part or all of the thread gone. No wonder we keep answering the same questions, because we keep losing the knowledge that is supposed to be stored here.

There is that caching effect. You post and the answer appears only hours later when the caches timed out.
But I also get the impression that some posts may be lost over time.
Or we have very active maintainers here, which I doubt ;-)

It happened to me yesterday. I answered a few and couldnt find them anymore. Do you know when the new forums are going to be hosted?

Check out the forums forum in the JBossNuke section. I think they still need some work.

The HTTPD forum has completely died now. The thread losses seem to be completely random. Some from the start of the month have disappeared yet most from last month are still in existence.

I also noticed that for a recent thread, (last three days) I had an answer that actually appeared and then the next day, the preceding question and my answer had disappeared - not the whole thread mind you, just these last two entries.

Maybe it's a virus installed by a competitor. ;)
