We still haven't moved to 1.4.x on our production servers. Just wondering what kind (if any) of performance increases you guys saw on 1.4 compard to 1.3.
Also, some folks are advocating use -Xincgc for garbage collection. Can anyone comment on why they prefer this GC?

Incremental GC usually gives you shorter GC pauses. Also you should usually increase the nursery size which by default is rather small (nursery tip courtesy of Peter Tillemans and Francois at one of the J2EE intro trainings.)
