securing web service

Hello!

How to secure web service ie. username and password ? there are some ways do do this but is there any method to put it in web-service.xml file? (smohow like in web.xml descriptor)?

Yes, I need this info too.

I have JAAS setup for JBoss3.2.1 with tomcat to use Db security and roles but do not know how would a web service interact with this security.

Please help anybody!
