get rid of jboss-net/service and just have url have my given

I am using jboss-net for webservices. I would like to make the url simple and not contain jboss-net or service.

I can map service in the web.xml to a prefix of my own. But how do I tell JBoss to not require jboss-net in the url.

Try changing the context name of the jboss-net.war

An alternative is to add your own Axis servlet (JBoss.NETis basically Apache Axis), with it's own context. As the Axis libraries are already on the classpath as part of the jboss.net install the only files needed in the war for the axis servlet are web.xml and the axis config. This also allows you to enforce servlet security on individual webservices by putting them behind different servlets. the apache Axis documentation describes how to configure and secure Axis servlets.
