billen Mar 8, 2004 7:46 AM (in response to aslani)I only ask for a proper tone. If Adrian will not answer, then I really dont think he should. The strength in a forum is, that you help other people being better, so they again can help others.

aslani Mar 8, 2004 7:48 AM (in response to aslani)Adrian I dont care how many questions U have answered and who U are. I just started learning J2EE the past 2 months and off course I am having problems understanding it. If thats a problem for U, dont answer my questions, I am sure there is ppl. with manners out there that can help me.
Why are U calling me things when U dont know me? -

adrian.brock Mar 8, 2004 8:12 AM (in response to aslani)J2EE has nothing to do with it.
My problem is that you continued posting in the wrong forum after being told
it wasn't the correct forum, then I had to go to the lengths to point you
at a simple search "jboss+resource-ref+xdoclet+example"
based on obvious keywords?
You spent at most 30 mins looking for the answer,
and some of that time included testing a partial solution in your code.
Anyway, I *am* bored of justifying myself. I do have better things to do
than continue this pointless argument.

billen Mar 8, 2004 8:25 AM (in response to aslani)I am sorry if I start a flame war, but I just dont believe that the strength in an open source community is scarying people away, because they are afraid to ask.
I really do respect you Adrian, but in this case you disapoint me. Sorry to say. I truly believe, that if you have just said to Aslani, that he was in the wrong forum, he would have accepted and looked again for a more appropiate. But instead you started asking for DD's, so off course Aslani thought he could continue asking you in the same thread.
But lets not take this any further. I think Aslani has got his answer or knows where to turn if that is not the case.
Yours truly,

slaboure Mar 8, 2004 8:27 AM (in response to aslani)Adrian,
even if some people consider that they "dont care how many questions U have answered", I am sure tons of others do care. I do care.
I guess some people have a narrow view of what politeness is.
Let's stop spending our time on that, let's go back to code, to real problems, to real solutions that get really read.
Cheers,

the only way to keep the productivity and usefulness is to separate the newbies/careless from the others with user levels/rights/etc... on separation i mean read-only rights.
i only asked questions here i couldn't answer, sometimes after days of trying!
