I'm using JBoss 3.2.4, Mysql 4.0.17 and mysql-connector 3.0.10.
I have a couple of distributed transactions between different schemas
and I want to set up proper XA support.
I know this is not supported in MySql, but there is a way of using
some kind of XA wrapper to sort the problem, isn't it?
If anyone has a working example how to configure JBoss, please
share it with me, or point me to some article describing how to achieve
XA support. If it's not possible to do or there is some side effects of
ussing a wrapper, please let me know this as well.
Thanks in advance
The wrapper is already included when you use local-tx-datasource.
It just makes your jdbc driver look like an XAResource.
This allows it to be included in two phase commit. It does not implement two
phase commit, there is no prepare. See this FAQ topic on why not doing prepare is bad.
