    Progress DataSource: Wrong driver class for this connection

    Victor Starenky Newbie

      Hi guys,

      I'm trying to configure the datasource for the Progress 9.1D database in JBoss.
      Here is my progress-ds.xml:

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

      <datasources>
       <local-tx-datasource>
       <jndi-name>ProgressPDS</jndi-name>

       <connection-url>jdbc:JdbcProgress:T:dbserver:3305:liveappl</connection-url>
       <driver-class>com.progress.sql.jdbc.JdbcProgressDriver</driver-class>
       <user-name>user</user-name>
       <password>password</password>
       </local-tx-datasource>
      </datasources>

      The driver's jar file is in the lib folder.
      This xml deploys no problem. But when I'm trying to access it, here is what I get:
      18:17:11,121 WARN [JBossManagedConnectionPool] Throwable while attempting to get a new connection:
      org.jboss.resource.JBossResourceException: Could not create connection; - nested throwable: (org.jboss.resource.JBossResourceException: Wrong driver class for this connection URL)

      The connection URL and Driver name as well as all other parameters are perfectly fine and work when I use jdbc directly.

      Could any one give me some clues on what to look for?
      Did any one set up Progress datasources?

      Thanks.
