    From websphere to Jboss : DB2 datasource

    Bertrand Tignon Newbie

      Hi,
      I'm trying to go from a websphere configuration to a jboss one.

      I'm facing a database problem :

      with Websphere, my server was configured like this :

      jdbc provider name : Default DB2 JDBC Provider
      jdbc implementation class : COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.DB2ConnectionPoolDataSource
      datasource name : Machin
      datasource jndiname : jdbc/Machin
      datasource class : com.ibm.websphere.rsadapter.DB2DataStoreHelper
      database name : MYDATABASE

      with Jboss, I've followed the configuration specified here : http://www.onjava.com/pub/a/onjava/2004/02/25/jbossjdbc.html#db2

      my db2-ds.xml is :

      <datasources>
       <local-tx-datasource>
       <jndi-name>DB2DS</jndi-name>
       <connection-url>jdbc:db2:MYDATABASE</connection-url>
       <driver-class>COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2Driver</driver-class>
       <user-name>devdev</user-name>
       <password>dev</password>
       <min-pool-size>0</min-pool-size>
       </local-tx-datasource>

       <xa-datasource>
       <jndi-name>jdbc/Machin</jndi-name>
      <xa-datasource-class>com.ibm.websphere.rsadapter.DB2DataStoreHelper</xa-datasource-class>
       <xa-datasource-property name="DatabaseName">Machin</xa-datasource-property>
       <xa-datasource-property name="User">devdev</xa-datasource-property>
       <xa-datasource-property name="Password">dev</xa-datasource-property>
       <xa-datasource-property name="Type">V5</xa-datasource-property>
       <metadata>
       <type-mapping>DB2DS</type-mapping>
       </metadata>
       </xa-datasource>
      </datasources>

      when I try to connect to my dataSource "Machin", it fails.

      do you see what I'm missing ?

      Thank you for your help
