How to archive server.log log file on Solaris 8

    dmegyesi

      Hi all,

I have successfully installed JBoss 2.4.4 on Solaris 8. I launch the program using the ./run.sh bourne shell script and the programs runs. I notice though that it dumps everything to a log called server.log. This log records all transactions between Tomcat and the user actions.

If this log records ALL transactions, won't this file will up very quickly? Does JBoss automatically cleanup and/or archive this file? How does JBoss control the size of the log file? Or is this something that needs to be presently done by a JBoss admin ever few days or weeks ? (depending on use).

If someone could get back to me with a response, I would be most grateful.

      Derek
