Running DataBaseManager from the console window

Hi

I am unable to run the DatabaseManager.class as a Java application from the console window. The hsqldb.jar file is in my classpath.

When I type in the word java followed by the package name for DatabaseManager, i.e. org\hsqldb\util\DatabaseManager, I get a NoSuchDefClassError message on the screen.

I would appreciate your help on this matter.

I guess you are using wrong version of hsqldb.jar.
For DatabbaseManager, You can use hsqldb.jar in server/default/lib or in hsqldb 1.6.1 distribution.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/hsqldb/

When the connect window is open, select "HSQL Database Engine Server" and then set http://localhost:1476.
