I have just installed JBOSS 3.0 with tomcat 4.1xxx. I have set the correct environment variables, i do "sh run.sh" from the jboss/bin directory - I hit localhost:8082 like some documentation states to do and I get nothing. JBOSS started up with NO errors.
Also, I had an existing tomcat install and i copied over my server.xml and web.xml files over to the conf directory within jboss/tomcatxxx and when I hit localhost:8080, I get the :
type Status report
message No Context configured to process this request
description The server encountered an internal error (No Context configured to process this request) that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
page. What is the difference between the tomcat in jboss and my normal (any normal) tomcat install?
JBOSS sure is a mess compared to a nicely working tomcat without JBOSS.
Any help would be appreciated.
For the 1000th time :-)
The management console is at
http://localhost:8080/jmx-console
unlike the Tomcat distro there is nothing deployed at
http://localhost:8080/
