    CMP2.0 vs. CMP1.1

    Jeroen Jansen Newbie

Ive been developing using JBoss since the 2.4.x version. I am using CMP1.1 in my project on the enterprise bean side, since back in those days, CMP2.0 was still in development and CMP1.1 was fully implemented.
Now since JBoss 3.0, things have changed (obviously), our application runs fine on it since CMP1.1 is still supported (and by my knowled not yet deprecated?). However... we do know that we will need to convert the beans to 2.0. What I am wondering about, besides all the cool and neat features of CMP2.0, is it also an improvement performance wise ?
Is CMP1.1 still a feasible alternative for production if you use jboss 3.0 ?
Any ideas or pointers to other resources about this matter are appreciated.

      Regards,
      Jeroen Jansen

Yes. Refer to the CMP 2.0 documentation to find out how you can configure the CMP engine to perform different read ahead and loading strategies. Should be quite an improvement over default CMP 1.1 entities.
