    Portal/portlet service by jboss?

    loth

Jboss-3.2.3 with Jetty (replacing Tomcat) and mysql (replacing Hypersonic) is running fine.
Is Jboss in this configuration already a portal server? Can it service portlets? If so, how? If not, what should be done to make Jboss a portal server?
Hope someone knows and will provide an answer?

At this time, I do not believe that there are plans to implement JSR-168 on JBoss (AFAIK). However, you can try the eXo SourceForge portal server (it has a deployer for JBoss-Tomcat, I believe).

Thanks for pointing out the EXO platform and its plugin for eclipse.
I was looking for some sort of functionality to create and deploy a portal site using eclipse...

I hope that MyEclipse will be integrating portals/portlets very soon and that more application servers like JBoss will support JSR 168 so that we can use the connector withing MyEclipse to test/deploy portals to JBoss.

Keep up the good work Guys!!!

            Regards,
            Les.
