    database location

    jkim9 Newbie

Hello, I am looking at setting up the database (SQL or MS Access) for login use... I read documentation (jbossj2ee.pdf) on this but i am still lost about where the actual database needs to be saved... i understood about copying database driver (zip or jar) file into lib folder and have **-ds.xml into the conf folder.... but where do i save my actual database with data into? and is connection-URL in **-ds.xml is the one that find and locate the database? thanks in advance

I believe this should go into your deploy folder.

          yes, for example <connection-url>jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://localhost:1433;DatabaseName=test</connection-url>

To make use of the datasource you may want to set it as your default datasource in the standardjbosscmp-jdbc.xml and name it correctly so that it knows the correct database language to use.

          hope that helps
