    Binding to a JNDI context path in java:comp/env

    Peter Crossley Newbie

      I have an issue with binding to the JNDI tree within the comp/env context. This is what I am trying to do for example. (BTW: This was all running in Orion, but now are migrating to JBOSS)

      InitialContext context = new InitialContext();
      context.bind("java:comp/env/test/abc", "test_binding");

      when it trys to bind to the path in the jndi context, a naming exception occurs..

      javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: test not bound

      I know its not bound because I am trying to bind it there. What am I missing to make JBOSS work with binding a object to a JNDI path, programaticly.

      Thanks in advance..
