I have an application using JBoss application server. This aplication is passing a remote user from one fedrated partner to another using Jboss 4.0.3 SP1. The application already supports WAS 6.0.2 application server for federation deployment. We are evaluating JBoss 4.0.3 for federation deployment. Our application passes the name of service provider object using standard HTTP header called REMOTE_USER. In case of JBoss 4.0.3, the value received is blank which for other application servers was the name of service provider. Hence the deployment fails on Jboss 4.0.3. Is there some setting specific to JBoss 4.0.3 for passing remote user header values correctly? Is this a limitation with JBoss 4.0.3? What is the workaround for this issue?
