Persisting data in Web Applications

Hi,

I was wondering what the best practice was if I have a web application that needs to persist some information to a local flat file, where to save that flat file to so that I can retrieve on subsequent restarts of the web app?

One thing you could do is store the flat file in the server/xxx/data directory. In your web app, you can find the location of this directory by accessing the jboss.server.data.dir system property.
