weston.price Dec 1, 2006 3:25 PM (in response to childsce)Hi,
One of the most valuable sources of information for JBoss is our Wiki
http://wiki.jboss.org/
Just about any questions you may have (and some you don't) can generally be answered by first reading the appropriate section.
For you datasource question, you will want to take a look at
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=JBossJCA
And more specifically
http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=FAQJBossJCA
This will get you started. Note, the classes12.zip file is the OracleOCI driver (native). You probably want the ojdbc14.jar included with your Oracle distribution as this has the latest Type4 drivers that do not require the installation of the Oracle client.
Good luck! -

weston.price Dec 1, 2006 4:20 PM (in response to childsce)That's your global SID for your Oracle instance. Your DB admin should be able to give you this.
