height attribute of scrollableDataTable

I want to thank you for the wonderful RichFaces components and the support.
Question:
Why do we need the height attribute of the scrollableDataTable ?
The dataTable can have anything between 1 row to 500 rows, so assigning a fixed pixel height is sometimes not enough and sometimes too much.
Can the scrollableDataTable auto adjust in height ? Or atleast, not specifiying any height should not restrict height in pixels ?

Hy!

Are you sure, you don't mix up normal dataTable-Tag with scrollableDataTable-Tag? normal dataTable has no height-attribute, and sounds. if you are looking for this tag. Here you control the amount of displayed rows with the rows-attribute.

For scrollableDataTable:
You need the height-attribute, because the datatable is scrollable - therfore the name: scrollableDataTable. See the livedemo of richfaces scrollableDataTable, this is a good example!
