Currently, I am developing queue monitoring program. In this program I want to be able to list the last n incoming messages and the first n messages in the queue.

This can be achieved by using ListAllMessages (JMX function). List all messages and show to the user the first or the last N messages. I find that this is inefficent as I have to get all messages beforehand.

I would like to put the functionality of list first/last N messages directly to JBoss Messaging. What do you think about it? Is it ok to put it as feature request, or is there a better way to solve the problem?
