Not a big deal, but I found this while playing with FindBugs (while I was watching TV today :-) )
management.MessageCounterHelper has a static DateFormat.
And from DateFormat javadoc:

Actually also, as a profiler guy.. DateFormat is one of the worst classes you can find on the JDK. If you can avoid using it somehow it' s better.
