I am seeing the same problem. I run the plain.bsh script and nothing happens in the gui view.
Please describe your enviornment that you ran the tutorial. Will you be able to run the testsuite instead?
what specific env info would you like to know?
To help you speed things up, can you try the demo on a Windows XP first? Then we can troubleshoot to see why fedora doesn't work.
Okay 1.2.3 was working under windows.

Comparing Fedora to XP results, BeanShell output is the same but the TreeCacheAopGui screen is not refreshed with new values unlike under XP where the new values are displayed.
