Assuming you are doing the caching yourself, you can configure an eviction policy to remove stale data. Look at the manual; you can set "timetoliveseconds" for data.
i have set that but the cache doesnt expire after those many seconds. i need my Data changes in DB to reflect in cache. for which i need the cache to expire after a fixed interval of time.
Have you tried different eviction policies and params?
i have added the following to the eviction policy. maxAgeSeconds is said to be the time after which a node is swept away. i have applied this to the default region as all other regions are said to be under default region. But still the cache is not expiring. what could be the reason ???
missing data on previous post is
attribute name=maxNodes -- 5000
attribute name="timeToLiveSeconds"-- 1000
attribute name="maxAgeSeconds"-- 60
i have applied this to the default region as all other regions are said to be under default region. But still the cache is not expiring. what could be the reason ???
The _default_ region config is relevant to any nodes not included in another region. However, it's settings are not inherited by other regions. If your comment above meant you created other regions but didn't apply all the settings you want to each region, that won't work.
