In JBC 3.0.1 GA what is the new table jbosscache_d created f

In JBC 3.0.1 a new table is ending with "_d" is created. What is the purpose of this table, is this a required table ?

Yes it is required for the more efficient queries we now have for inserting rows. Look at the JDBCCacheLoader source code if you want details.
