1. Re: Automatically create separate DS'es for web-applications
joelvogt Nov 19, 2002 9:59 PM (in response to lkowalczyk)? I'm not too sure how you would do that. At the end of the day you need to tell jboss how the datasource is set up which is what your service is for.

2. Re: Automatically create separate DS'es for web-applications
lkowalczyk Nov 20, 2002 8:23 AM (in response to lkowalczyk)Well, yes but I would like it to happen automatically (or with little effort on my side). I was thinking of a something like a parametrized data source configuration, ie. connection url is parametrized with application name (for instance, jdbc:postgresql://localhost/${webapp}).
It need not be exactly like this, I would be perfectly happy if I could tell jboss to look for service file in the ear (or war) file. Can I do this?
I would like to avoid having to restart server each time an application is deployed. -

joelvogt Nov 20, 2002 5:46 PM (in response to lkowalczyk)so you can't hot deploy your apps and your database service?

lkowalczyk Nov 21, 2002 11:14 AM (in response to lkowalczyk)I had problems with that, that's why I asked if it's possible at all.
