The environment entries are only visible from within the EJB, you cannot look them up from a client.
If you want to see the "java:/comp/env" you can try the following :
It is a Web based JNDI browser that shows :
- the global JNDI space
- the java: JNDI space
- the java:/comp/env JNDI space for EJBS
- the java:/comp/env JNDI space for Webapps
