Peculiar test results with JBoss 4.0.2

I am using JBoss 4.0.2(security patch jbas-1875-patch.zip) on HPUX.

The number of test cases that comes with JBoss 4.0.2 is 2543 (when we get zero errors and zero failures)

My test suite results are peculiar
Tests Failures Errors Success rate Time
2543 17 54 97.21% 3177.795

How come I get 2543 tests run inspite of the 54 error and 17 failures.
Where am I going wrong ?

You would only get fewer tests if something went wrong and those tests failed to initialize. The failures and errors do not affect the total test column.

This basic JUnit stuff, not really about the JBoss testsuite.
