How can I find out, where Tomcat looks for a resource ?

I've got the following error, when I try to show the management console (http://localhost:8080/jmx-console/):

HTTP Status 404 - /jmx-console/

type Status report

message /jmx-console/

description The requested resource (/jmx-console/) is not available.
Apache Tomcat/4.1.24-LE-jdk14

It seems like the embedded tomcat searches at the wrong place - how can I find out, where ? I Haven't seen anything helpful in the log files (at least the ones I found ). Perhaps I have to change the output to be more verbose? How can I do this?
