Remember me feature does not work/make sense

my remember me feature does not work.

I assume the way it is supposed to work is if I check it and login successfully the system will not ask me for password and username next time I start up my browser (after complete shutdown of all the browser windows).

In my case it just does not happen. Is it a known problem. I use IE 6.0 on XP machine.

it should work if your browser is cookie enabled.
anyway for me it works. I added the feature 2 days ago.

do you enabled cookies ? I am using XP + IE6 as well.
