authid in urls

Is it necessary to put the authid in a url. or is this handled in the nukes internals? I am asking because in the faq and polls modules I see it doing this but not in the bb module.

i believe the answer to this is yes, unless you are using a form on the page, then you could embed it in a hidden tag.
