ModelPanel focus on 3.1.4.GA

In the latest release I can not get focus to elements in a modalPanel. I am using the onshow attribute to focus a input when the panel opens. No matter what I try I can't seem to get focus to shift the input. This worked in the previous version I was running which was 3.1.2.GA. Help...

Anyone been able to direct focus in modal panels in 3.1.4? I am not sure what changed between 3.1.3 and 3.1.4 but the same code no longer works to direct focus. I would like to upgrade to 3.1.4 but it will drive clients crazy if they have to constantly use there mouse to set focus on the dialogs.

I have experienced the same problem with 3.1.4 (having upgraded from 3.1.2).
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Did anyone find a solution for this? It is a real deal breaker for my clients as well.
