    web-console-plugin

I'm plannig to develop a web-console-plugin for administrators which includes:

      deployment
      list deployed modules
      deploy/redeploy/undeploy module(with a help of URLDeploymentScanner)

      datasource
      list deployed datasources
      create/edit datasource in -ds.xml

      log4j
      create/edit appender/category in log4j.xml

      resource monitoring
      show memory-usage-chart

Some functions could be similar to functions which already exist.
But these functions should be easier to use.

      Any advice will be appreciated.

I've made a DeploymentService which is supposed to give you server-side support for doing the kind of things that you describe, i.e. create new deployments, start/stop them, remove them.

There is missing piece of functionality, i.e. transferring archives from the client to the server and I've asked Tom Elrod, who's doing the new remoting layer to add this.

An improved management console has been a much needed feature for quite some time, so it would be great if you could demonstrate new plugins to the web-console.

You may find additional info on the DeploymentService, here:

I am looking for jboss application server web console to create, edit and delete a datasource. It would be great if somebody can point me to a place where i can manage my datasources through web. Thank you.

JBoss Operations Network can do this and is available to subscription customers - I recommend you take a look at that.
